Naturopathy is a philosophy and holistic health care system that recognises the healing power of nature present in all living things. As a holistic system, it aims to promote and restore health by employing various natural treatment approaches that may include nutritional therapy, food intolerance testing, lifestyle advice, homoeopathy, hydrotherapy, physical therapy and other techniques.

Naturopathy is a system of medicine aimed at facilitating and promoting the body's inherent self-healing mechanisms. The body has an innate ability to heal itself when it's supported and nurtured towards optimum health.

Naturopathic practice is focused on treating the individual and seeks to identify the factors which predispose, trigger and maintain the underlying causes of ill health, rather than treating the symptoms alone.

Indigo Wellbeing empowers you with the support and guidance of a personalised treatment plan to start your journey towards optimum health.

Naturopathic Nutrition encourages the use of whole and organic foods as medicine – an integral concept of healing in many indigenous societies. Today, we see that a return to chemical-free foods, along with other dietary measures, is an effective answer to many health complaints and common conditions.

The philosophy of naturopathic nutrition is not about calorie counting, it's about balance. Using food as medicine, understanding the healing properties of food, and how fresh, delicious, nutritious, unprocessed food can nourish your body and soul.

If you are feeling overwhelmed about where to start with improving your diet, you are trying to lose weight, you are living with allergies and intolerances, or just want to get out of the food rut you are in, I offer a meal planning service which can optimise your nutrition.

It is thought that almost half of the population react adversely to foods that they eat. Whilst the effects of a food intolerance may not be life-threatening, the resulting symptoms can have a massive impact on a person's quality of life.

Food intolerance can cause a wide range of disruptive symptoms such as skin conditions such as eczema, digestive problems, migraines and headaches, fatigue, depression and low mood, joint pains and a general feeling of being unwell.

Food intolerance tests use a very simple finger prick blood collection wand system. Because the finger prick system is so easy to use, the sample can be taken in your home, or I can do it for you in the clinic. The sample is then posted back to the laboratory (in a pre-paid envelope), tested and analysed for IgG antibody reactions to 100 food and drink ingredients.

The results can provide a much-needed starting point for addressing your symptoms while we work on healing the root cause of the food intolerance and support the body back to optimal health.

The use of plants as medicine is our oldest form of healing.

Herbs can be used in the kitchen as food or to support the self-healing mechanism of the body taken as teas, tinctures, poultices or creams.

Homeopathy is a system of medicine which involves treating the individual with highly diluted substances, given mainly in tablet form, with the aim of triggering the body’s natural system of healing.

Based on a person's specific symptoms, a homeopathic remedy is carefully chosen to suit an individual's symptom picture and personal constitution.

Baby massage is a loving, nurturing touch. Through touch, babies learn the comfort and security of loving and being loved. Baby massage has a wide range of both psychological and physiological benefits not only nurturing the parent-child bond but it also plays a significant role in promoting the healthy growth and development of infants.

Baby Massage classes are designed with new parents in mind. Mum’s, Dad’s and caregivers will learn the basics of the baby massage routine which they can then practice at home.

Each session we will learn a simple massage sequence concentrating on a different part of the body re-capping what we’ve learnt so far.  More information can be found here
